‘Modern Family’s’ Eric Stonestreet on Sofia Vergara: ‘That really tested my ability to play a gay man.’
In the clips below, Zap2it chat with TV’s favorite “Modern Family” couple — Eric Stonestreet (Cam) and Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Mitchell).
“I go on a date with Gloria because I said a faux pas at a dinner party and I felt really bad about it,” Stonestreet explains in the video. “So we go out for dinner, her and I together. That really tested my ability to play a gay man, spending a week with Sofia Vergara. I said if anybody sees any of my straightness … that’s gonna be the week to see it.”
Modern Family Vs. SNL – Go Vote

- Image via Wikipedia
For the month of March, Hulu is teaming up with fans and TV critic Ken Tucker (Entertainment Weekly) to see which of this season’s shows come out on top. This week Modern Family is facing SNL, so make sure to visit and vote for Modern Family!
Here is what EW say about Modern Family:
Modern Family may have the faux-documentary framework of The Office; it may have faces familiar from other comedies, but Modern Family is unique in the way it juggles so many players so deftly and makes every member of the cast a vivid, complex character. Oh, and it’s really funny, too.
And about SNL:
Now in its 35th season, Saturday Night Live is a pop cultural machine that’s likely to continue until producer Lorne Michaels decides to end it. It’s also found a core cast that frequently rescues almost any episode from being a mirthless washout – unless the obstacles include bad material and a dud host, that is.
More Sneak Peeks – Modern Family 1.16 “Fears”
More sneak peeks of March 3rd episode of Modern Family “Fears” is coming from TV over Mind:
Modern Family’s Nolan Gould Interview
Nolan Gould, the kid actor from Modern Family, was interveiwed for Portrait Magazine; here are some of the highlights:
What’s your character Luke like?
He gets no respect from the writers! They’re always thinking of new things for him to do and most people would think the things he does are stupid, but Luke thinks its genius! He’s an average kid, but he’s sweet inside!
Sounds like a fun character!
Oh yeah! He’s fun to play!
Which has been your favourite episode so far and why?
My favourite episode was Fisbo because I got to ride on a zip line, go on a rock-wall…I’m afraid of heights but I love rock-walls! After shooting the episode, I said we should have an after party there, and everyone loved the idea!
That’s a lot of stunts!!
Yeah, but I’ve taken a stunt class before, so I was prepared. I also do rappelling for fun, so I could do the rock wall.

Modern Family 1.16 “Fears” – March 3rd
As you might have noticed, there’s been a bit of an episode change over at ABC regarding Modern Family. The March 10 and March 3 episodes have been swapped.

‘Modern Family’: Co-creator Steve Levitan
Co-creator Steve Levitan, one of the brilliant men behind “Modern Family,” talked to Zap2It at PaleyFest 2010:
Modern Family March 3rd – 1.16 “Fear”
Phil and Luke go on a treasure hunt underneath the house, but get more than they bargained for. It’s not pretty down there. Haley attempts to get her driver’s license for the third time, while Claire hilariously struggles to teach Alex how to dance in the parking lot. Meanwhile, Mitchell and Cameron invite their daughter’s pediatrician over for brunch, which devolves into “every gay father’s nightmare.”
“Fear” on “Modern Family,” WEDNESDAY, MARCH 3 (9:00-9:30 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

‘Modern Family’s’ Julie Bowen heads to Hawaii, but not for ‘Lost’
The cast of “MF” will travel to Maui to film an episode in about 10 days.
While there, it would be pretty convenient for Julie Bowen to just pop on over to “Lost” and film a return appearance as Jack’s (Matthew Fox) ex-wife. Perhaps Julie’s “Lost” character could shed a little light on this whole Jack-has-a-teenage-kid storyline? See the video below.
And here is Ty Burrell who is talking about Julie:
