“It’s going to be a long process, but we’re confident it will work out.”
So says an ABC insider of the negotiations currently under way with the cast of Modern Family, who have banded together to ask for a hefty season-four raise. So how much do they want? Is this famous Family asking for Friends-type money?
Nope! While the Friends cast famously got $1 million per episode for their final season, the Modern Family stars are asking for something in the neighborhood of $200,000 per episode, our sources confirm.

Modern Family boss Steve Levitan confirms to us that Britney Spears has indeed asked to come on the hit ABC comedy, but that’s not all: The likes of George Clooney and Brad Pitt could also be on board!
“Quite a few really impressive people have come to us,” Levitan hinted to me at last night’s Paley Festival honoring the series. When asked if one of them might be George Clooney, Julia Roberts or Brad Pitt, Levitan’s eyes lit up all crazy and he couldn’t stop himself from uttering: “You’ve gotten…you’ve hit on a couple!”

CBS Boss Admits Favorite Comedy On ABC
He knows he will be in trouble with his staff but the boss of CBS has admitted his favorite comedy is “Modern Family” — broadcast by rival ABC.
“I’m going to get in big trouble with Chuck Lorre next week,” Moonves said, referring to the producer of successful CBS comedy hits such as “Two and a Half Men,” “The Big Bang Theory” and “Mike and Molly.”
‘Modern Family,’ ‘30 Rock’ top Comedy Awards nominations
“Modern Family,” “Bridesmaids,” “30 Rock” and Louis C.K. lead the nominees list for the second annual installment of “The Comedy Awards,” each racking up five nominations, Comedy Central said Tuesday.
Nominees are chosen by the Comedy Awards’ board of directors, which includes Stephen Colbert, Carol Burnett, James Burrows, Brad Grey, Chris Rock and Ray Romano, among numerous others.
