“Modern Family” star Vergara dropped in on “Sesame Street” on Tuesday morning to teach Elmo a little Spanish — and perhaps to fill him with unfamiliar but not entirely unpleasant sensations.

‘Modern Family’ star Sofia Vergara launches clothing line
At times, it’s hard to tell the difference between Sofia Vergara and Gloria, the character she plays on ABC’s hit comedy “Modern Family.”
Both have gregarious personalities, an uproarious sense of humor, an enormous shot of sex appeal and daring fashion sense.
Now other women can be more like Vergara — or Gloria — thanks to the Colombian star’s new clothing line at Kmart. The line features the kind of outfits that have made Vergara so popular on the red carpet and beyond — figure-hugging dresses, tight pants, bright colors and short skirts.
“We have a lot of very comfortable and wearable things that can be worn by a woman of every size,” Vergara explained of her Sofia clothing.

`X Factor’ debut overshadowed by `Modern Family’
The debut of Simon Cowell’s “The X Factor” played second fiddle to “Modern Family.”
On a competitive night of fall debuts, Fox’s singing contest kicked off Wednesday with a total audience of 12.5 million viewers, according to Nielsen Co. ratings. The real glory went to ABC’s Emmy-winning “Modern Family,” which earned a leading 14.5 million viewers.
Among advertiser-coveted young adult viewers, the ABC 8-10 p.m. EDT sitcom duo of “The Middle” and “Modern Family” were the leaders and topped “X Factor” by 5 percent.

Players join in the fun of Modern Family’s three related families as they test their trivia knowledge of this hit TV show. There are five types of special spaces you can land on. Each type of special space has a corresponding deck of cards including: Parenting, Family, Modern, Interview and Event cards. By selecting the cards, players may be asked to answer trivia questions, play out a charade and discuss interview topics and family events. By completing the action on the cards, players receive tokens.
Once your team has collected all 30 tokens, you must get your mover home. The player to visit each household and get back to their TV viewing couch first wins!
Modern Family: Gilles Marini To Confuse Cameron’s Gaydar
Brothers & Sisters alum Gilles Marini will be hanging with some members of ABC’s Modern Family, TVLine has learned exclusively, in a storyline that is sure to befuddle Cameron and Mitchell.
In a Season 3 episode, Marini will guest star as Julian, a friend of a friend of Cameron and Mitchell’s whom they both assume is gay. That assumption, however, proves to be erroneous when the boys invite Claire (Emmy winner Julie Bowen) on a rare “fun night out” and end up leaving her with Julian –- and in short order it becomes clear that this fella is very, very straight.

Modern Family rules the roost

IF, AFTER 48 episodes, there was still any doubt that Modern Family is the most adored sitcom on television, it was eliminated here at the 63rd Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday night.
The telecast began with four awards in a row to members of the Modern Family team, and it ended the same way it did last year, with the two-year-old show being named the best comedy on television.
From start to finish, it felt like a night for Modern Family. At one point the show’s host, Jane Lynch of Fox’s Glee, said, “Welcome back to the Modern Family Awards.”
