“Modern Family”, along with ”The Big Bang Theory,” “Episodes,” “Girls,” and “Smash” were nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Comedy Series in Los Angeles today.

Eric Stonestreet was nominated for Best Supporting Actor and Sofia Vergara was nominated for Best Supporting Actress.

‘Modern Family,’ ‘Homeland,’ ‘Game Change’ win big at Emmys

In addition to winning the award for outstanding comedy for the third year in a row, “Modern Family” swept both supporting acting awards for comedies and picked up another for directing.

Eric Stonestreet claimed the first Emmy Award Sunday night, honored with the trophy for best supporting actor in a comedy series for his “Modern Family” role as Cameron Tucker.

After sweeping the Emmys in September and taking home the Golden Globe for Best TV Series, Comedy, can “Modern Family” really be stopped?

The popular TV comedy took home its first Golden Globe Sunday night, after premiering in 2010. Accepting their golden statue was showrunner Steve Levitan, along with some bilingual help from series star Sofia Vergara.

Late Night ‘s David Letterman, stand-up comic Louis C.K. and TV hitModern Family were winners at the first-ever American Comedy Awards on the weekend.

The fledgling U.S. honour, hosted by the Comedy Central network in New York on Saturday night, presented awards for achievements in a host of categories that recognized film, television, sketch and online comedy.

Mockumentary-style TV comedy Modern Family nabbed the trophy for best comedy series as well as for its direction.

Edward Norton To Guest Star On ‘Modern Family’

Edward Norton is set to join the cast of offbeat TV comedy Modern Family. The Incredible Hulk star will guest alongside Elizabeth Banks in an upcoming episode of the hit new show, and series regular Eric Stonestreet insists Norton is a natural comedian.
