‘Mad Men,’ ‘Modern Family’ top Critics’ picks
AMC’s “Mad Men” and ABC’s “Modern Family” landed the top scripted series nods at the inaugural Critics’ Choice Television Awards on Monday.
The kudos were selected by the Broadcast Television Journalists Assn., an offshoot of the Broadcast Film Critics Assn. The luncheon ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hotel was hosted by “So You Think You Can Dance’s” Cat Deeley.

“Modern Family” – AFI AWARD
“Mad Men,” “Modern Family” and “True Blood” were among the 10 honorees for the AFI award.
The AFI Awards 2009 is an almanac that records the year’s “most outstanding achievements in film and television,” according to the organization. The AFI awards honor the creative ensembles in front of and behind the cameras.
