On Saturday night, the Los Angeles version of the 2012 GLAAD Media Awards were held in Los Angeles, and we had an opportunity to see some of the biggest names from the entertainment world honored for some of their various achievements. ”Modern Family” took home the award for Outstanding Comedy Series, and it was accepted by one of the stars of the show in Jesse Tyler Ferguson.

Modern Family’ star Jesse Tyler Ferguson to appear in online sitcom
It is said that one should never forget where they came from. Jesse Tyler Ferguson, a star on the hit ABC sitcom Modern Family, will show the world that he hasn’t when he taps into his past experiences as a struggling actor on the online sitcom Submissions Only.
Each episode of the series begins with an audition. In Ferguson’s episode he will be seen singing an original song and humiliating himself in the process, the AP reports.

Sofia Vergara Reports Live From The Hunger Games
The Modern Family star was great on SNL.
In “Hunger Games,” Vergara took on TV reporter Maria Gutierrez (who looked a bit similar to Hunger Games character Effie Trinket), who reported live from “The 74th annual Hunger Games” and found and interviewed Hunger Games contestants who were either scared to death or near death.
She also managed to find Katniss Everdeen, who was particularly annoyed when the reporter asked her about her love life and ended up giving her a handful of deadly berries…which Gutierrez ate.
“Okay…I’m dying now,” Vergara said in her live report after consuming the berries.

Jesse Tyler Ferguson Talks Modern Family Salary Negotiations
“We stopped shooting a few weeks ago, so I haven’t been around any of that stuff,” he tells E!. “I honestly haven’t even talked to anyone, this is all, like, hearsay. This is all, like, things that are spinning. I know nothing about it.”
What does he know? The people that are representing the cast of Modern Family are on the case. “We all have really good lawyers who are hopefully doing a great job,” he says.

So says an ABC insider of the negotiations currently under way with the cast of Modern Family, who have banded together to ask for a hefty season-four raise. So how much do they want? Is this famous Family asking for Friends-type money?
Nope! While the Friends cast famously got $1 million per episode for their final season, the Modern Family stars are asking for something in the neighborhood of $200,000 per episode, our sources confirm.

CBS Boss Admits Favorite Comedy On ABC
He knows he will be in trouble with his staff but the boss of CBS has admitted his favorite comedy is “Modern Family” — broadcast by rival ABC.
“I’m going to get in big trouble with Chuck Lorre next week,” Moonves said, referring to the producer of successful CBS comedy hits such as “Two and a Half Men,” “The Big Bang Theory” and “Mike and Molly.”
‘Modern Family,’ ‘30 Rock’ top Comedy Awards nominations
“Modern Family,” “Bridesmaids,” “30 Rock” and Louis C.K. lead the nominees list for the second annual installment of “The Comedy Awards,” each racking up five nominations, Comedy Central said Tuesday.
Nominees are chosen by the Comedy Awards’ board of directors, which includes Stephen Colbert, Carol Burnett, James Burrows, Brad Grey, Chris Rock and Ray Romano, among numerous others.
