Ed O’Neill’s daughters are doing all right for themselves.

Emmy contenders Christina Applegate (NBC’s Up All Night) and Julie Bowen(ABC’s Modern Family) both have called two of O’Neill’s characters dad. And like dutiful daughters, the women compared notes during The Hollywood Reporter‘s comedy actress roundtable.

“I grew up with Ed O’Neill andKatey Sagal as parents, so anything that I’ve done well or poorly you can blame pretty much on them,” said Applegate, who played daughter to O’Neill’s lovably crass Al Bundy on Married … With Children.

“We stopped shooting a few weeks ago, so I haven’t been around any of that stuff,” he tells E!. “I honestly haven’t even talked to anyone, this is all, like, hearsay. This is all, like, things that are spinning. I know nothing about it.”

What does he know? The people that are representing the cast of Modern Family are on the case. “We all have really good lawyers who are hopefully doing a great job,” he says.

“It’s going to be a long process, but we’re confident it will work out.”

So says an ABC insider of the negotiations currently under way with the cast of Modern Family, who have banded together to ask for a hefty season-four raise. So how much do they want? Is this famous Family asking for Friends-type money?

Nope! While the Friends cast famously got $1 million per episode for their final season, the Modern Family stars are asking for something in the neighborhood of $200,000 per episode, our sources confirm.

It looks like Julie Bowen is “Lin-sane” for Jeremy Lin. The “Modern Family” star got avery special birthday present from her co-star this week and tweeted a photo to show off her new goods.

“Ty Burrell gave me an actual, signed, and USED @JLin7 jersey!!!!” Bowen tweeted over the weekend, showing off the gift from her on-screen husband.

SAG Awards TV: ‘Modern Family’ Leads Nominations

Emmy darling Modern Family topped the TV nominees for the 18th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, which were unveiled Wednesday morning.

The ABC comedy collected five nominations for best comedy ensemble, acting mentions for Ty Burrell, Eric Stonestreet, Julie Bowen and Sofia Vergara. The series from Christopher Lloyd and Steve Levitan had a pair of acting noms in both categories for the second year running, with Burrell subbing for co-star Ed O’Neill and Bowen breaking into the mix this year.

Modern Family Game

For 2-6 players; Ages Teen-Adult; 

Players join in the fun of Modern Family’s three related families as they test their trivia knowledge of this hit TV show. There are five types of special spaces you can land on. Each type of special space has a corresponding deck of cards including: Parenting, Family, Modern, Interview and Event cards. By selecting the cards, players may be asked to answer trivia questions, play out a charade and discuss interview topics and family events. By completing the action on the cards, players receive tokens.

Once your team has collected all 30 tokens, you must get your mover home. The player to visit each household and get back to their TV viewing couch first wins!
