Modern Family was adjusted up 0.1 ratings points to a series high 4.2 adults 18-49 rating:

Co-creator Steve Levitan, one of the brilliant men behind “Modern Family,” talked to Zap2It at PaleyFest 2010:

With hard competition from the Olympics and Idol, Modern Family reruns did well:
“Modern Family” at 8 (1.7/5 in 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall) and wrapping with “Cougar Town” at 10:30 p.m. (1.1/3 in 18-49, 2.7 million viewers overall). Outside of the 8 p.m. “Modern” delivery, the best numbers came with the regularly scheduled episodes of “The Middle” at 8:30 p.m. (1.7/5 in 18-49, 4.7 million viewers overall) and “Modern Family” at 9 (1.7/4 in 18-49, 4.4 million viewers overall).

The interesting news of that night was of course that after six years, “American Idol’s” amazing winning streak is over – NBC’s Winter Olympics finished ahead of the Fox.

I am not a stalker found Jay and Gloria’s house filming location. Here is some information that they found:
Jay and Gloria’s ultra-unique home is MUCH bigger in person than it appears to be on Modern Family. For some reason, the establishing shots shown on the series only feature one angle of the residence. In reality, though, the home has a whole other half which has never appeared on TV. The house is so massive, in fact, that I couldn’t get all of if to fit in my camera lens, but you can sort of get an idea of its true size in the above photograph. According to Zillow, the residence boasts five bedrooms, six bathrooms, and a whopping 6,359 square feet!
