Young MODERN FAMILY star NOLAN GOULD is all set for college – at 13.

The studious teenager graduated high school this past summer (12) and now he’s seeking out online college courses so he can continue his education.

Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh, co-executive producers of the ABC sitcom “Modern Family,” are the commencement speakers for The Wheeler School in Providence, from which both graduated in 1990. Then Corrigan and Walsh both went on to New York University’s Tisch School of Arts, graduating in 1994.

Alloy has an inteview with Ariel, Alex from Modern Family. Here are the highlights:

How are you like and unlike your character, Alex?
Coincidentally, Alex and I are both loyal and smart (not really tooting my own horn), cynical and funny and I have to admit, I’m a bit of a smart alec myself, if you ask my parents. We both really value education. The biggest difference is how we dress. Alex is more Urban Outfitters tomboy and I’m more of an edgy rock and roll younger version of Taylor Swift. Also, I don’t wear glasses or play cello.

What’s been your favorite scene to film?
Probably when Alex goes to the school dance and a boy actually wants to dance with her. Talk about awkward.

Have you had that experience?
I actually haven’t been to a school dance yet but I’m really excited. I have all these dresses in my closet that I’ve worn to premieres that I don’t really get to wear anywhere else so I’m really excited that if I go to one of these school dances, I could go to my closet and be like, “Which dress do I want to wear?!”

Who do you think is the funniest cast member on the show?
You can’t decide that. Everyone is hilarious. We’re SNL but for ABC.

Award-winning actors Ed O’Neill (Modern Family), Isaiah Washington (Grey’s Anatomy), and Cameron Daddo (24), will star opposite their wives in special benefit performances of A.R. Gurney’s Pulitzer Prize-nominated play, Love Letters at the Westside Waldorf School in Pacific Palisades on March 12 and 13. All proceeds will go towards the school’s 8th grade class, who hope to tour Washington, D.C. and meet their Congressional leaders in May (culminating a year-long study of American history). The parents and students have spent the last three years trying imaginative ways to raise funds for their trip.

“We’ve had bake sales, sold t-shirts, made special lunches,” says Jack Wolcott, a class member who lives in Topanga, “and the play is going to help a lot.” The idea for the production came from eighth-grade parent Cameron Daddo who reached out to some fellow thespians.

“Ed and Isaiah are both fantastic fathers, husbands and supporters of Westside Waldorf School,” says Daddo. “I was happy that neither one hesitated to accept the invitation to do Love Letters, with their wives, who are fabulous actresses in their own right.”
