Every line falls flat and disappoints because you see Al Bundy, but you don't hear the character you so want him to be. This would have been a lot better show if it had been Al Bundy himself trying to be a better person with a new start and a new family, but still failing sometimes and being the old Al. That would have been the formula for a smash hit show. Of course I'm sure Ed is sick and tired of that character after 11 years of it.
