Unfortunately, it may cost the cast noms and win with the usual cancelling out that ca occur.

If I were with the show, I'd suggest:
Ed as a lead Actor contender
Sofia Vergara and Julie Bowen as Lead Actresses
And the rest of the cast (including the phenomenal children in the show) in the Supporting categories….
